Low Level Laser Therapy Anyone

I have non-diabetic neuropathy that was probably caused by a burn with toxic chemicals 35 years ago. I started to notice the tell tale numbness in my feet that gradually progressed to enough pain to send me looking for answers and relief. I tried Topamax and moved to Lyrica about 10 years ago.

Lately I have been trying the LLLT. The practitioner believes it is working but I am not so sure. I still take the Lyrica but my last Rx cost over 700$ out of my pocket. Nutrional aids have so far just added to the expense without benefit. Anyone tried the laser or LED light treatment with success?

How many LLLT sessions have you had so far?

I don't know if it will work for your condition or not..
It did work great for my soft tissue, tendon/ligament pain.

If you aren't seeing improvement after a certain time frame , I wouldn't keep going just because the treatment provider thinks /says it will help..(just $$$ for them and no help for you:()

You might think about naturopathy or some other alternative therapies..

What kind of toxic chemicals caused the burns?

The chemical was a phenolic acid mixture used to remove paint from stop signs and carbon from engine blocks. The first medical treatment consisted of distiller water and pain medications. The follow up indicated that the chemical was out of my system and the damage did not show up for several years. Impossible to prove if this was in fact the cause.
