Surgery

Hello everyone
I am 20 and about ready to have a first right rib removal. I am really nervous and was wondering if anyone had anything I should know before I do this. What is good to have after surgery and when you are home ? Things along that nature I was also wondering what is typically the recovery time before and when I could return back to work ? If there is anything else that I should know please feel free to tell me . Thanks for the help

Hi there,

My first thought is make ultra sure you have an expert surgeon.
And that they have done many of these surgeries -recently & often.
Skill & high ratings for a tos surgeon is very important.

Have you had quite a bit of testing to make sure surgery is needed?
multiple opinions?
Phys therapy didn't work at all?

Do you more Vascular or Nerve TOS symptoms?

Tell us more if you can -
about your symptoms?
avg pain level per day?
what PT have you had? expert:) or avg run of the mill...:( just 1 session or multiple sessions.
or is there an obvious reason for surgery? clots etc...

How long til your surgery?

For surgery info & tips here is the advance search tool link- just put TOS surgery and you should get lots of results -
