update - new chiropractor.. finally feeling better

ok...so I tried a new chiropractor who is amazing. He is doing so much more for me. He starts with heat and some electrode thing on my neck while on this table that has rollers under my back (omg feels sooo good) Traction is next (don't love this, but I think this is what is helping most). He then does ultrasound on my neck ...and finishes with about 10 mins of massage.

He reviewed my mri and took a few more xrays -- he said I have compressed discs and traction is the best way to help that.

the office visit is over an hour! I nearly fall asleep on the table with the heat on my neck.

He wants me to see a certain dentist that deals with TMJ (which I had previous issues ... prior to accident) so that will be on Tuesday.

I am actually feeling better with less headaches....but the off balance feeling and awful feeling when I'm in stores etc. is still there.

I did get to my sons baseball games...(not symptom free, but not dying in pain!)

yeah...finally a little improvement!

I tried the TMJ specialist dentist. I was not impressed with the dentist / dental appliance approach to TMJ. Instead, I got good results with physical therapy/myofacial release. The PT went deep into my mouth and worked the myofacial release point.

I tend to clench my jaw while I sleep unless I take my gabapentin before bed. I also was directed to a specialist who uses Botox injections into the jaw muscles to get them to relax their tension. She is known to have good success. The PT resolved my TMJ before I could get an appointment with the Botox specialist.
