Loss of Feeling

Ok, so as some of you know my RSD is in my right knee. I am on Cymbalta and had a GREAT day Sunday (I planted flowers in my front yard - yeah). I still have twinges of sharp pain in the knee. However, in one spot on my knee I seem to lose feeling/or completely lost feeling. I could touch it, pinch it (that one part) and it has nothing, like nothing is there. I should call the doc right? But what could he do? Confused. My PT says it's just another symptom of RSD - it presents itself in numerous ways. Could this be another way? and If it is another way, what can the doc do for it?

Thanks.

numb

I also have a numb spot. it is my right leg, upper inside of the thigh running down to my knee. It is the weirdest feeling.

It used to get the itches that wouldnt be relieved from anything, thank goodness that stopped.

Next time you see the doc ask him what he thinks it is.

They told me it was nerve death from when the leg had no blood flow from blaocked off femoral artery. They said the feeling could come back but might take up to years. Well it has been 7 years and 1 month and no feeling has ever came back.

Wish the pain would go away lol.

Yeh. unfortunatly - it's another part of good old RSD. Unfortunatly it doesn't stop it from hurting though!!!!!

Do you find it has affected your proprioception?

proprioception

noun
the ability to sense the position and location and orientation and movement of the body and its parts

I had to look up the definition - since I did I thought I would also put it here. LOL.

Since mine is a small spot in the knee it does not affect my proprioception. It is however wierd to me that I can feel one side of my knee and the areas surrounding the numb spot and if not for the meds, the pain emitting from them.
