Supplement sides?
I just recently started Alpha Lipoic Acid, Acetyl L-Carnitine, CoQ10, Multi-Enzyme Probiotic Formula (Betaine Hydrochloride, Pancreatin, Amylase, Protease (papaya enzyme), Bromelain, Pepsin, Ox Bile, Lipase, Cellulose and Acidophilus), DHEA,
I've suddenly started having issues with heartburn. This is not like regular heartburn. It's an intense burning sensation as if I've eaten something very spicy. Has anyone else had these issues with the supplements I've listed? I take all but the DHEA with food. The DHEA I take in the morning on an empty stomach with my B's. The others are twice a day, at breakfast and shortly after supper. Has anyone had any sleep issues with these? |
Hi jarrett, only with the Alpha lipioc acid, for some reason it gives me more energy so i only take it in the mornings or if i forget to take it then, at the very latest, lunch time.
I switched to R lipioc acid, because to much of ALA gives me a nasty rash. Brian :) |
large volumes of capsules..fillers
do not dissolve well, I have found.
Try taking the big capsules BEFORE you eat the food. You want the enzymes there BEFORE the food...ready for it. I take Beano and Lactase before I eat. I agree with Brian...I'd switch to r-lipoic as well. I used alpha years ago with no success. I like the r-lipoic much better. Take with LOTS of water too. I take the carnitine in the early morning, I find it hard on the stomach. (acetyl=acetic acid) |
Ok...so I need to switch
I knew about the R-Lipoic, honest I did, instead of the Alpha Lipoic. Sigh.
I'm hoping that this is temporary if it is related to the new supplements. |
HI,
Just wanted to chime in. I had that same burning and I found it was the enzymes...pancreatic enzymes...the bromelain etc. I stopped them and it was fine. |
Thanks! I'll keep an eye out for it... Tonight for the first time since beginning the new ones I don't have that heartburn!
