my eyes not aligned

I know I am going to sound paranoid. Long story short, after two years, I have had a terrible setback a month ago (been off work since), this is the first time I have a set back without an obvious trigger. The only thing I have done was to cross my eyes (which I never did before) the day before without using a pencil to track.

I have been feeling some kind of weakness/eye strain in the right eye. I stare at my eyes in the mirror and find my right iris sitting lower than my left one. That is, when i open my eyes wide, one is clearly sitting lower than the other. The left one sits in the center of the eye. The right one touches the lower part of the eye (I do not see much white below it).

I have looked at my eyes millions of times in my life. I used to wear contact lenses, .... I never noticed that before.

I asked my brother and he agrees that the right is not as centered as left. I have a hunch that if I go to the optometrist he will tell me that most likely I have always been like this...

any thoughts would be much appreciated. I am not writing on impulse. I know I have opened a couple of threads lately, but that's only because I have been going through a really bad setback (and unknown reasons again).
