Time to rebuild after so many years
Hello to all. I guess a good place to start is some back history. I was diagnosed with bilateral arterial/ nerve tos back in Oct of 95 at the age of 34. Nov and Dec I had undergone surgeries to correct the condition. I didnt have the extra rib. My condition was caused by various crashes and the work type I was doing. To this day I still do not work much at all. I've struggled left and right with shoulder issues and nero pain in the arms. Numbness, tingling and grip loss. Biggest obstacle I've been battling is weight issue. I was 175 pounds and lost most of it over the years. Not fat weight but muscle mass. I'm currently down to the 145 mark, which is borderline unhealthy for my height. Problem is I no longer live where I use to and finding a Dr. that's knowledgeable in TOS as we all know is difficult to find. I've no completely changed my diet recently and have been looking to start, or attempt to rebuild some muscle. Through search after search online, I'm not finding any exercises outside of stretching to help me out in this venture. So if anyone knows of lifting techniques of guides to help, please let me know. Thanks for your time in reading this.

Most tend to gain weight due to pain meds & less activity..
Some have muscle shrinkage/wasting when a nerve is affected, but that is only for the shoulder, hand or arm affected.. Have you had a full health work up, if you don't think any diet or activity changes are the reason.. Are you eating the same amount of food/calories as before? |
