Do You Feel Weak after taking your insulin?
And have to lay down for a while? Especially in the morning when you take your insulin right after eating breakfast?
I'm finding this true of most days. |
Do you test your blood before eating and then at 1 hr after?
Eating too much or too many carbs at a meal can make one feel tired. High protein content slows the digestion of the meal so one does not have reactive fatigue. Learning how to handle your food intake to work with the correct dose of insulin for that meal, takes a while of adjustment. you need to ask your doctor or physician's assistant these questions. |
Thanks, that really did help. I've added more carbs to my meals. ;)
I haven't seen the phy assist yet. |
I think you should find a class for new diabetics, and attend it carefully.
Your answer above concerns me. You haven't provided any details about your "insulin". It is really impossible and potentially dangerous to ask open ended questions on an internet message board because there are many types of insulin available now. You haven't even explained what insulin you are using, and exactly what you eat when you have side effects! You need a live coach where you live that you can either call on a phone or attend their classes. |
Sent you some private messages.

Still got no answer to my question even after seeing a few doctors and talking with many phys assits and nurses.
I'm guessing that's just one of the side effects of insulin. And Trajenta. :o |
