Hi
I had c3-6 done 5 years ago. No problems with that, just everywhere else now!

yes,I had c4-c7 fusion May 2007. They should have you in physical therapy and that will help, I don't know why you would have swelling..? My symptoms are better than before surgery, (I did not have any swelling), but still have pain most days- though not all day, it depends on what I do, (I have a desk job - sitting and looking down are not good for any neck, especially one that doesn't bend) It is very important to rest so you can heal, and then keep up the exercises to strengethen the mucsles supporting the spine and stay as flexible as possible. I'm still trying to figure this all out. If there are questions I can answer for you- let me know. Best of luck to you.

Acdf surgery post Sept 24, 2009

My pain seems to come and go. But I was expecting to still have some pain with what condition I was in before surgery. I just expected for things to be a little better than what they was. Surgery for me was to stop and further deteroration in my bones. I am experienceing migrane headaches and more weakness now since the surgery. I rather not deal with the migranes heaches its the worst pain for me. So I wish you the best in your recovery process and I hope things workout for you. I will keep you in my prayers.

My surgery was on Sept 24, 2009. It was a struggle fo rme in the beganing trying to make a decision. I feel that I made the right decision before the problems got to far out of control. I had a 3 level Acdf with instrumentation. I feel good and amazed with my recovery. I am experienceing migrane headaches right now. But nothng can compare to the pain had to endure daily. I just want to say be confident in what decision you make and have faith that it will all work out for you. This is no an easy decision to make and the recovery time requires much patience. So good luck I will keep you in my prayers.
