Pain Elsewhere?

I suppose this isn't TN, exactly, but I was wondering:

Do any of you experience or know what might cause brief nerve pain elsewhere in the body? I'm having no other symptoms besides pain, just random little zaps in my legs, arms, and face. This is in addition to my "everyday" glossopharyngeal neuralgia. No dizziness, or weakness, or vision trouble. Just brief, seemingly random, mini neuralgia zaps. They're not awful- especially compared to the GN, but they're no walk in the park, either.

Any input would be appreciated, because I'm at a loss. I haven't changed medications recently, and the pain predates my increase in dose. I am going to my neurologist week after next, and will mention this. However, I've moved out of state, so I've never actually seen this doctor before and am a bit nervous about her thinking I'm a loony- not a lot of 23 year olds running around with GN.

Any thoughts are welcome. Hope you're all having good days.

What you're explaining sounds a lot like L'Hermittes sign.

L'Hermittes sign is the name given to an electric shock-like sensation which often presents itself with multiple sclerosis; although Lhermitte's sign is not exclusive to ms and may be the result of some other conditions such as electrolyte imbalance, cervical cord tumour, cervical spondylosis, or even vitamin B12 deficiency. http://www.themcfox.com/multiple-scl...ittes-sign.htm

Thanks, Koala.

I'll try to be more mindful the next few days if it happens more when my neck is bent down. Definitely hesitant to take extra B12, though, as historically that has made the GN pain worse!
