I keep looking, and see no replies to this thread. I think many of us silently say to ourselves "let this be true, the beginning of something", but too many times we get good news from the media, just to see it not work out. I hope but don't believe too much anymore. I hope this is one to hope for. But admit I hate this, too much disappointment. I have no reason to regret it if my pessimism is unfounded!! (feeling a little stirring of hope, maybe)

You've said what I think most of us feel... that *maybe* one day, a cause of MS will be found...

I think we're all tired of the string of "possible causes" or worse yet, "could lead to the development of ..."

I sometimes wonder this, what will happen first:

A human stepping onto Mars

or

A clear, known cause for MS is discovered

I dont care so much about a cause for MS, as I do a cure for MS. Yes, I'm curious enough to want to know what causes it, but I would much rather have the cure.

Absolutely a cure!!! In my mind, there can't be a cure without knowing the cause.

Right now, science is treating the symptoms.

We want the whole package! Cause, cure and treament!

One reason it is not getting a great response is because the research has been done on mice. We have learned that what happens to mice with their fake MS is not a good example of what may happen when applied to the real MS.
