bppv and crps

Has anyone ever heard of BPPV in connection with CRPS?
BPPV is an inner ear problem that causes vertigo.

Hi,

I don't know if the vertigo is connected to the RSD but when I first got the RSD I had vertigo 3 different times. I went to a Dr. in Denver and he did a maneuver to get rid of it. It worked and then I got it two more times after that and my PCP did the maneuver to get rid of it.

What does the BPPV stand for?

Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo, and yes there is the Epley maneuver to help with this. I am waiting on further tests I suppose before they decide to do this. I found out about the Epley online, not from my doctor, so am not sure if they know about this or what. I'm sure this isn't connected with RSD but was wondering if anyone else with it has had BPPV. From what you have said it sounds like that is what you had.

Hi,

The maneuver does work and it is possible that they don't know about it.

I don't know if you can have someone do it for you but my Dr. showed Bill how to do it in case I got it again which I didn't, thank goodness.

I know what you are going through. I remember not being able to get up without getting dizzy. At the time my Dr. made house calls so he actually had to come to my house to help me with it.

Be careful and don't fall from having it. It does make everything seem to go round and round.
