Say a prayer for me....off topic

I just applied to a freelance company where I can work at home. I don't want to tell anyone in my family, because every time I do it falls through. I feel like this is my own secret club and I can just feel the prayer here. Pray that I get this job as I have no health insurance yet and I won't have any until March 2010. (Long story with pre-existing condition clause on hubby's insurance)

I have worked in special ed for 24 years and had to quit because of the RSD and the stress of my job. With new job I can work at home at my own pace and work on special ed writing and blogging.

Thank you all for being who you are and I thank God every night for this message board. :grouphug:

I was an Autism Mentor for the last 6 years and the rest I worked with the severe/profound as a respite worker. It figures the year that I finally get my certification in Autism, I get RSD. Sooooo, I have looked high and low for a way to make money online. I am ChaCha Guide Specialist for an internet information site and I make ok money with them, but a friend of mine just started working for this free lance company and on her first job she made $500. She is a professional storyteller and a friend of her told her about this company. There are so many topics that you can put on your profile and the agencies pick you, interview you over the phone and check out your credentials. It's free and hey, I don't have anything to lose. I have to take a test tomorrow morning to see if I qualify.

When I started with ChaCha I had to take one of the hardest tests EVER. With them, I can work whenever and however long I want to. They changed the pay scale right after I got hired so I only make a little change with them, but it pays for my scripts.

Thanks for the concern bobber, believe me I have worked in the internet for a while and I know there are scams. If you have to pay a fee then it's a scam. I don't have to at this company.

Cindi:)

Thanks for all the prayers, but I just can't stand the thought of that test. I think I will stick to my old way of making money at home. The more I looked at the website the more I found out that you have to meet certain deadlines and they grade you on performance and I don't want that stress. I make enough to suppliment the hubby's income, so I am saying put. You all are wonderful, caring people.... I don't know what I ever did without my friends on here!:D

Hi Cindi and a BIG Welcome to you too. It is wonderful to have friends that truly understand what we go thru.Sounds like you are looking for help in making wise decision, one that will help your family, but not stress you out and make your condition worse.
I have had this 14 years-full body now. I just lost my group health insurance and our home business has shrunk. I'm going to work at my pace from home and hire a couple workers to get new accounts
It's a struggle isn't it. I was feeling the best in 14 years until I got the flu-it's going past 8 weeks now. 10 day antibiocs didn't work, need to go into the Dr. again.
I got my RSD following surgery, but was diagnosed 4 years later.I'm 61, we live in Arizona, have one married wonderful daughter and great son in law.
My husband is 72 and healthy thank goodness
Take care and know all will work out well with you working at home. I have a lap top and that helps me a lot, if I don't feel like sitting at my desk.
Do you have children? Our home business is we own a office coffee business. Our drivers deliver coffee and condiments to various businesses. It dropped with the economy, but seems to start picking up again now.
I'm most concerned about health insurance now. Hope the best for you, loretta soft hugs:grouphug:
