Mild Cortical Atrophy in the Frontal Lobes and Bell's Palsy

I am 28 years old and have three children ranging from 1 to 8 years old. My hubby is Active Duty Army so unfortunately we do NOT have good health care most of the time. You can find Army doctors that really care, listen and do their job well, but most of the time they are limited time and limited funds, so we get sent home. Last year I had a really rough 3 months, (not ever losing anyone I was close too) I lost 2 men in the months. I think I had a harder time with that than I thought.
I started forgeting things, even now I cant remember my sons birthday or anything like that if I am put on the spot...asked without knowing I will be asked and having time to practice it. I went to a neuro. and the first one passed me off saying I was just stressed and it would go away. I found another one that was willing to do an MRI and found I have Mild Cortical Atrophy in the Frontal Lobes. I was having major headaches all through this time and before that had maybe one or two a year. He said no one my age gets dementia and I have no traces of a stroke so he sent me home. Since then the headaches have gone away, but the forgetfulness has not. I went to the dr. right after that and they said I had Bell's Palsy. From what I understand you get shingles first and it only last like 2 months. I have never had shingles. Also, now (a year later) I still have the same symptoms as the Bell's Palsy....my right side of my face is not horribly crooked but when I smile...there is a noticible difference. I guess my question is...does anyone here have dementia and/or Bell's Palsy?? If so what age were you diagnosed and what should I do next?

Have you been tested for Lyme disease? Your symptoms could be an indicator of Lyme disease. You may have to seek out a Lyme specialist to get proper treatment as not all doctors look for chronic Lyme. Just a suggestion. May be worth researching.

God Bless.
