I finally have after all this time
 

a true best 3-D friend. I have been really sick since Saturday. I asked Bobby yesterday if he could take me to the doctor today and he hesitated and said, "sure, I can do that." I had wondered about that hesitation and just now figured now why he hesitated. He had laser surgery scheduled this morning and he was not going to tell me because he said the important thing was to get me to the doctor. I have never, I mean never, had anyone willing to cancel a surgery they had scheduled to take to the doctor. Bobby finally told me he had the laser surgery this morning when he found out from my neighbor that I went to the emergency room in an ambulance and I had asked him to pick up my meds. He has a patch over one of his eyes and needs to sleep now. Gosh, this man is making it very hard for me to not fall in love with him.

He sounds like a keeper to me!

Thank you all. I am just starting to get frustrated with other friends in my life though. My friend Phyllis who was after Bobby from the very beginning and I didn't talk for months until this past month. I called her up after feeling secure with Bobby as my friend. Well, ever since her and I are back to being friends she has really been asking me the questions about Bobby. Like where does he stay when he's in town, could I ask him if he has apples at his other place she could have, and just today she was at it again. When I told her about Bobby planning on canceling his eye surgery to take me to the doctor she asked me what kind of surgery he had. She didn't even ask me how I was doing knowing I told her I went to the hospital sick. I feel like I should not tell her these things anymore about Bobby as I'm beginning to think if she could she'd try to take him away from me. I'm going to ask her the next time she asks about Bobby why she wants to know so much about him. She'll probably say, just wondering, and I should just be up front with her and tell her I think she's still after him. Or I could stop having anything to do with her. She did after all ignore my calls yesterday when I wanted her to pick up my medicine. Since I have pink eye I can not be around people.

or even jsut change the subject...I think you are right she is either jsut a busy body and stilkl has a thing for him and is just using you to get information.

I agree with Beth, she's using you to get information about Bobby, I would tell her to ask Bobby herself and to stop obsessing on him when she's tlaking to you because you aren't going to betray his confidence in you. Stinking nosy people are JERKS! :(

Well first i am glad Bobby is turning out such a devoted friend.

As for Phyllis, whatever is in her head is beside the point, but what you answer her is what you can control. And i agree the best bet is to shy away from giving out information about Bobby. It may not be confidential but as you two are becoming closer friends, confidentiality sometimes becomes implicit.

So i would avoid talking about him much other than in vague terms... and to anything she asks say Bobby would be the best person to answer her questions regarding himself.

I hope your pinkeye heals up quick and that Bobby's laser surgery was successful and that he too recovers smoothly.

Thank you all. I will indeed tell Phyllis that Bobby is the best one to answer her questions. She has his phone number from the beginning of the summer when she was tricky and told mutual freinds she wanted to rent his beach property. She kept telling those people to get Bobby to call her. Then she got his phone number from her caller ID. She called him back then and asked him to a concert to which he never went to.
