I Believe

I believe-
that it isn't always enough to be
forgiven by others. Sometmes you
have to learn to forgive yourself.

I believe-
that no matter how bad your
heart is broken the world doesn't stop for
your grief.

I believe-
that our background and circumstances
may have influenced who we are,
but we are responsible for who
we become.

I believe-
that two people can look at the exact
same thing and see something totally different.

I believe-
that credentials on the wall
do not make you a decent human being.

I believe-
that even when you think you
have no more to give,
when a friend cries out to you
you will find the strength to help.

Alffe, that's beautiful. When I saw the title of the post, it immediately made me think of R. Kelly and that beautiful song that was so popular. People probably got sick of hearing it all the time, but it's beautiful nonetheless. Now it will be in my head all day.

"I Believe I Can Fly"

I used to think that I could not go on
And life was nothing but an awful song
But now I know the meaning of true love
I'm leaning on the everlasting arms

If I can see it, then I can do it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it

[1]
I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread my wings and fly away
I believe I can soar
I see me running through that open door
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly

See I was on the verge of breaking down
Sometimes silence can seem so loud
There are miracles in life I must achieve
But first I know it starts inside of me, oh

If I can see it, then I can do it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it

[Repeat 1]

Hey, cuz I believe in me, oh

If I can see it, then I can be it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it

[Repeat 1]

Hey, if I just spread my wings
I can fly
I can fly
I can fly, hey
If I just spread my wings
I can fly
Fly-eye-eye

I bee leaf...

I bee leaf that the bees shouldn't hide inside leaves...

cause when you try to pick the leaves...the bee will sting you...

then, I believe that you'll have to get a huge red stinging rash...

and the bees will be laughing behind the leaves...

I bee leaf...

poem by apiarist..

I tink I'd better watch my bee hive...or Alpho will pull it...wait, is it me earlobes??

seriously though, that was beautiful, gals...

I believe
that E has been stung by a bee
and knows that it hurts.

I believe
that bee's teach us
to mind our own business
and not go where the bees are

or is that where they boys are? :p

I believe
that I feel a breath of
fresh air in the room

I believe
I need to find the broom
and the dust pan, along with the fly swater! :D

Doody 01-07-2007 12:45 PM

I believe Alpo should pull
Ears where bees would never go
I believe she should fly
Where those ears really now reside :D

I bee leaf my ears and (____!____) are now in trouble...

I bee leaf I'd better go get Spock Ears...LOLOLOL

I bee leaf that yes, I was stung by a bee once, and jelly fish twice, now something needs to sting me three times and so and on so I can make a parody about the 12 days of X-mas...LOLOLOLOL

I bee leaf that when my youngest brother was 4 years old, he was stung by a bee, there were no adults to be found, we were somewhere playing in the fields...in remembering what I was taught in grade school, I pee'd on him where the bee stung, he stopped crying almost immediately...

I bee leaf in sharing that, I will have saved many bee stung victims that can't find immediate relief and will know that urine truly helps...

Sheesh...

I bee leaf I should go and get some sleep...LOLOLOL

I bee leaf the fly swatter is useful in swatting bees?? But I would never swat a bee, again...

Hey, you all are sooo funny! I thought I'd share MY bee stories.

Actually, I'm going on 60 & I've never been stung by a bee, but I thought I had been twice.

The first time I was about 8 yrs old, visiting an aunt & uncle. Playing on their lawn I sat down (wearing shorts) on what I thought was a bee, but it turned out to be my uncles lit cigar! Owwwww!

The next time I was with my husband & another couple out in the desert where the guys were "target shooting". I felt a hot stabbing pain in my arm and it turned out it was a richot (sp) bullet!

He "winged" me, as they used to say in the cowboy movies!

It's funny now. But it hit only about 4 inches from my heart, because I had my arms crossed (it was cold), and it scraped my upper left arm as it passed by. Phew! Close one!

Hope you all have a great week!

Denise

hi and welcome, Denise!

Cool stories! LOL

Alffe 01-08-2007 02:04 PM

Ack! You got winged??? Oh poor Denise.

Actually I was stung by a bee that I leaned up again in a greenhouse at Kewl Gardens in England and it swelled up, itched and was awful for days. :p

I've heard that Jellyfish stings are VERY painful!
