red eyes?

Forgive me for only asking questions here, I read but feel so new at all this that I don't really have the experience to comment properly. I have been experiencing red eyes which seem to get better with drops but only for a little while, then later in day it is back. Do any of you also get this or is it completely unrelated to the MG?:Dunno:

Hello and welcome AtlantaMG!

Hello! Welcome to the best site on the net for MG! You are going to meet so many wonderful and truly caring people here!

I do not have red eyes, but my eyes are either very dry or it looks like I am crying....I have no idea why they are that way....

When were you dx'ed with MG? What meds are you on? How are you feeling today?

I'd love to hear more from you when you have the time/energy!

Big hugs!
Erin

Hey M.C.

Welcome to the group! I don't experience that. Everyone here is very friendly, helpful & supportive. We all have varing degrees of MG and symptoms. I hope you will feel more comfortable and tell us more about yourself. Are you taking any meds that might be causing the redness in your eyes? Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Take care and hope to be hearing from you again soon.;)

Hugs,
Pat

Welcome!

I haven't experienced what you have, but I do remember someone posting awhile back about 'dry, irritated' eyes. Turns out they were having trouble producing tears (another autoimmne disease that has a name which someone here is bound to know).

If Annie reads this post - she'll be able to tell you.

Once again - welcome...great group of folks here.

Sue

Welcome atlantamg!

I think I read one of your posts before. Is yours mainly ocular MG? I might be dreaming but it seems I remember that from somewhere.

I haven't experienced any red eyes either....just droopy eyelids.
You may want to contact your doc about it though.

Thank to you all so much, hopefully it is just allergies then! I am starting to come here more often and getting to know everyone.

JCP you are right, I did post earlier and currently have mostly ocular symptoms and really tired if I over do it too much. I did have one full on episode that made me feel like I got hit by a truck and couldn't move much, that lasted about 4 days b/c of the reaction to the antibiotic though before I caught on that it was doing it. That wasn't too fun, but at least now I know what it feels like to with the moving issues.

Red itchy eyes are one of my first signs that I am pushing myself too hard. I have discovered that it is caused by my eyes not shutting all the way so the eyes dry out. Mestinon has really helped this symptom mostly go away, but it still happens. I hope this helps.
