I have PN for 8 years and got plantar fasciitis in both feet 3 or 4 years ago. Im not sure but i suspect having PN certainly contributed to getting plantar fasciitis.

And--

--I can say that a combination of an anti-convulsant such as Neurontin/gabapentin and an anti-depressant such as Elavil is a common cocktail for neuropathy sufferers (at least among knowledgable doctors); many, though not all, report that they have a synergistic effect with the total relief obtainable being greater than the "sum of their parts".

Shelia combination of medicines usually works better together. Finding the right one for you can be a challenge but worth it when you find it.

Hang in there, Trish

Hi Shelia,
I experienced a neuroma in my right foot soon after the PN spread to my right foot. The neuroma is the center of my pain. Last week I ask for and was granted a Lidocaine injection into the neuroma area and today its not working very well . Being on my feet alot really sets it off. I usually rub capsaicin under the 3rd and 4th toes at night. Elavil is one medication I have never used. Methadone and Lyrica is what I use now.
