POSTCEPT Trial
 

After the PRECEPT trial (CEP-1347) failed in 2005, about 500 of the PRECEPT participants were recruited to join a follow-on trial named: POSTCEPT. The participants are considered a "PD control group" because when the participants joined PRECEPT, none of the them were taking PD meds AND cep-1347 didn't work so it didn't change the course of their disease progression.

I'm one of this group - and I just learned that we will be followed for 14 years in POSTCEPT! (4 years down, 10 to go...) I think that is amazing - because at the end of that time scientists will have a wealth of documented data on the progression of PD.
