Asparagus

:)I just received an email about asparagus for cancer. Interesting thing with it for PD is : that asparagus is the highest tested food containing GLUTATHIONE .....wow Something else to try. Email suggested a can of Green Giant or Stokes canned asparagus (drain) Place into blender to make puree & store in the refrigerator. Take 4 TBS am & PM ... sounds easy enough & is to help with cancers , too.

foodstuff and glutathione

We eat lots of asparagus, avacados and walnuts for their glutathione content, despite that fact that dietary glutathione is not well absorbed. The GI tract has an abundant supply of an enzyme ,gamma-glutamyltranspeptidase, that breaks down glutathione before it gets into the blood stream. Perhaps some escapes the breakdown and We think every little bit helps. madelyn

I know many out there rave about asparagus and its qualities. I am not one of them. I can not stand the smell or taste of asparagus. For years if someone was cooking asparagus i would not even enter thier house. I guess I am going to suffer on with PD. When are they going to find that chocolate is the cure for PD :D
