Hi Waves, love ya to pieces for missing me!
I have not been on with my peeps much and sorry to worry. It was a roller coaster going on. There were a lot of legal things with De's estate, finally a resolution in near. Reached a settlement agreement in her death. Very emotional. What I really wanted was her back......

The last several days we have had heck of a bug. I wish I could get an asthma treatment.

Better get back with Katie, She home cyber schools and is behind several lessons. She took a break, for a few minutes and I stoped by.
We are going to a luncheon meeting at noon, then an eye exam for her new glasses.

Always something with a big family.
I will have to read and see what all is new, hope that everyone is well, and hugs
Di

Hey there!

Good to see you, Di! :):hug::hug:

sorry to hear things have been so stressful... and then the flu on top of it.

ok now forgive my ignorance... what is up with the asthma? do you mean something more enduring than the bronchodilator sprays? or do those just not work for you? :o

i wish you didn't have asthma. :( and i complain about my allergies and chronic rhinitis, post-nasal drip, bronchial complications etc... mostly because all that stuff hampers my singing. but then, if i did have asthma, i'd be done for with the singing. :Sigh: So now you got me counting my blessings... and sending you some. :heartthrob:

Thanks everyone,

Hey waves, I am so honored and proud for your singing.. I use to sing very well, but far too shy, only in the church choir and Grandma was the director. Mom sang on the radio in the early 50's locally every Saturday

The bug I had acted up the asthma. Lot of bronchial phlem and the inflamation had me hacking and breathing deep. Started with a sore throat and headache.
I have my Advair, and the rescue inhaler, but it is not clearing up enough for me to breath with out wheezing. Sinuses are better, the post nasal drip, ate a ton of Halls and claritin,

I am hoping by tomorrow it is better. I have to see the doctor for flu shot if I am feeling better. Blood work follow up too.

Today, my son got called by one of my siblings that one of the sisters has a heridity blood disorder and I am supposed to be checked for it ASAP as I am so much older and it could be a problem longer then when they caught hers.
So I need to find out what they are looking for to be tested. I am not so concerned as I had a lot of bloodwork done for the double vision. I am not feeling like it is going to be an issue for me. But needs to be ruled out.

Darn. when does live get easy....
Long vent, but felt good.
Di

Hemochromatosis

Well, the problem with the heritary blood disorder has a name, Hemochromatosis. The first signs were likely the extreme chronic fatigue; (when that happened, a thryroid test put me on synthriod). But, that was a sign for this disorder that was not tested. It does not show on regular blood work. One of the other signs was my joint pain, which blaming arthritis but that is an additional sign.

The issue is too much iron in the body and enlarges the organs and can cause enlarged heart, liver. The treatment is getting rid of the iron. Taking about a pint of blood a week until the plasma levels show a save level in the blood.

I will learn more Monday or Tuesday and what the treatment, and damage potential. Organ damage is not reversable, but when the disorder is caught then it will stop destrying the organs.I can't understand why this was not thought of for the last 10 years and tested?

Even though I exhibit so many symptoms and two sisters are diagx I am still crossing my fingers that this is not all related,
I just do not need another issue on my plate....

I will keep you posted, say a prayer
Di
