Halloween Weekend what'sup?

When I was young, even when the kids were young, I enjoyed Halloween.
I decorated with some out door lights, a blow up Pooh bear and huge witch, but the morbid part of the holiday is sucking the breath from me.

The grandson will love local home trick or treating, it is calling for some rain, so I will drive as his parents take turns for He and Katie to go door to door.

Rain rain go away....at least the snow from last week is gone. Last year there was 3 inches on the ground for the night.

Have a good weekend all....:grouphug: Don't forget the clocks go back an hour on saturday night.....
Go Phillies!

OH BIZI......Remember this from Halloween Past?

I don't get into halloween any more.... too much anxiety involved for me.

I do know that a niece and a nephew are going as Pirates...that is if it's not snowing where they live....

I haven't heard what the other 10 nieces and nephews are going as.... I be one of my little nieces goes as a princess... or as she says...prinicess.

Hope everyone has a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!
Hugs to all!!

thanks for finding that picturre DI!
I bumped up the thread as we will look the same again, stay with what works! WEnt in costume for the ULL orchestral haloween concert hubby participated like normal he was a hit. dressed up like a monk, came dragging his foot down the long walkway in the auditorium and up to a rope on stage that he pulled and they played a gong! it was great! Hoping that the rain lets up by tomorrow so we can carve our pumpkins and finish the last touches of the decorations before the kids come, we have to paint up our faces as well. Jeff built a coffin this year and I may be in it...we will see. I have worn a wedding dress old torn/lacey thing for many years now and jeff wears a tall top hat and we both kind of look like spooky bride and groom. You can see us in the pictures! jeff loves to scare the kids.

Beth how did you make out with the tornadoes in the area?
Were they there you? I saw that Church steeple that fell on the car!
Hope it stops raining too.

Hi,

No Halloween here. I see one place near us decorated. I haven't driven around and looked at others.

I'm missing the World Series this year.
I guess I only watch when the Red Sox are playing.

I think I want to get out and get some sunshine this weekend. We have a very small park next door. Maybe I can go sit and read a book in the sun. Then take a walk. Need to work on my vitamin D. http://bestsmileys.com/sun/3.gif

I love halloween, but this year Im so depressed thinking about my project.... :(

HAPPY HALLOWEEN MY DEAR FRIENDS !!!

Mari 10-31-2009 02:18 AM

Dear Majo,

You did a good job.
Relax and enjoy while you wait for word on their decision
OR
Start your next project.

Waves gives good advice on the other thread about reframing your thoughts. A counselor will help you learn that kind of stuff.

In the meantime, many hugs

Blue Rules
You did your best and that is what truely matters. Anxiety is crappy over these pressure to produce, preform. I agree start thinking of the new project!

We are having huge wind, it is warmer then it has been in weeks, but the wind and soon rain is sucky for the kids tonight,

I need to motivate and get the kitchen done, I still can not find my table.. The real estate tax appeal is next week and still days of gathering the information for it.

I can take a few days off from the work on the after school program, need the energy for other things the next few days.

Have a nice weekend,:grouphug:
