Second opiniion same as the first
 

Well I want to first appologize for being away so long. My how time flys with five kids, a dog, a house, and what seems as endless trips to doctors. Well we finally met with pain doctor number 2 and he said the same thing as the first dr. I think we can fix u with the new handy dandy Medtronics ultra scs. It comes equiped with your own belt clip, battery charger, and remote. I was wondering if I was buying a cell phone. I was ready to ask if I could get a data plan and second one for my wife. What is it with these things anyway. We walk into his office and there are three posters on his wall like the local sprint store. So anyway I'm hoping if anyone who has a Medtronic ultra or whatever they are called could share their experience with this brand of scs. Thanx krank

Hi krank, and welcome back. You surely have plenty on your plate. I not a good person to give opinion, even though I've had this for 14-15 years. I've read a lot about the procedure and this particular brand, but choose to not inquire about it. I've never been recommended one from any of my many Drs.
I have full body and internal. You'll get many letters I'm sure, from those with experience. Take care, loretta

These that you/re going to, seem to have been visited by the same salesman.
And, don't think that those salesman/people don't get a percentage...."Kick back"!

Get yorself to a REAL neoro, that's knowledgable in RSD!

(I suppose you know how to do that? If not, ask, so we can tell you!)

Medtronic Inc., Medical Device Maker Once Accused of Paying Illegal Kickbacks, Agrees to Show How Much it Pays Physicians

Medtronic Inc., a leading maker of heart defibrillators and other medical devices, says it will start keeping track of how much money and other perks it gives to physicians for consulting and other work then make the numbers public.

The company is the largest medical-device maker and the latest in a string of medical-industry giants to announce so-called “transparency” measures, billed as efforts to throw open the doors to corporate boardrooms and show the public which doctors are on drug company payrolls and for how much.

The Minneapolis-based manufacturer said it will begin tracking all payments to doctors in excess of $5,000 in January 2010 and expects to release its first public report on the funding in March 2010.

Such moves should be applauded, but also closely monitored to ensure their accuracy and completeness. Only when drug consumers and physicians have all the facts, or at least more facts, can they make more informed, unbiased decisions about which drugs and medical devices are best. (Emphasis added.)

A cynic would suggest that meant that Medtronic would just have to make it's payments for the Fourth Quarter of 2009 all the sweeter.
