white lump has appeared on my gum after tooth extraction!!!
i had one of my back tooth extracted about a week ago now. the last 2 days i have noticed a small hard white lump on my gum where the hole is. im getting worried because when i had my last tooth out 2 years ago this never happened.
is there anyone that can answer my question and put my mind at ease as i worry a lot. :icon_lol thanks |
I got the same thing. Mines been out about 6 weeks and the spot is still the same, doesnt seem to bother though. The only thing that bothers is the tooth in front of the one they pulled:mad:

Hi sweetgirl,
The small hard white bump could be a bony spur/splinter or the bony ridge of the jawbone where the gum has become tight against it. Some bony spurs/splinters come out on their own and others are removed relatively simply by the dentist. If the area gets red, swollen or sore, or if you are concerned about what it is exactly, see your dentist to evaluate it. Bryanna Quote:
