Hi, I'm Lani King. I have idiopathic neuropathy in my feet. I am trying to find the cause because hope it can be reversed before it becomes permanent. Maybe this is a pipe dream but I am going to try. I do not have any medically discovered reason for the NP but I suspect Paxil and my doctor doesn't deny the possibility. When I started taking Paxil for OCD and panic attacks during my divorce I shortly started developing NP symptoms that gradually got worse. I have stopped the Paxil and now take Prestiq and I think the sx have stabilized. I hope this is so and not just wishful thinking. Has anyone else experienced something like this? -Lanibugg

Welcome to NT

You're not alone here. You'll find other members who have your symptoms to share and compare what has helped them.

Absent any other medical causes for your symptoms, it probably was Paxil.

Here's a link to PN:

There's lots of info here to research, so take your time.

Welcome to NT, Lani!

The side effects of the medications we take to help ourselves is a common topic of conversation on the forum. When faced with chronic pain or depression or OCD, etc..., it's hard to know what to do.

Luckily lots of folks here can offer you the benefit of their experience weighing the benefit and risks of various drugs. Some are also quite expert in diet and vitamin alternatives that can be helpful and non-toxic.
Cheers

Just wanted to join the others in welcoming you to the community! This is a good place.

Once my daughter asked me what "idiopathic" meant, and I said it was doctor language for "beats the heck out of me".
