Hi BF,

That empty feeling creeps up on all of us from time to time. Although no words can make it better, it can be reassuring to know that it's a normal feeling and that it's going to go away. Deliberately occupy yourself with something... a book, magazine, take a walk, google something that interests you and delve into it for a little while. The distraction can help ease the loneliness.

As a distraction for myself, I subscribe to a few beautiful magazines that allow me to get lost in their content. One is called Coastal Living, another is called Sunset and another is called Simple Living. They help me to remove myself from the (negative or unsettling) place that I physically feel to a place that emotionally feels beautiful, calm and safe. The good thing about a book or magazine is that you can easily take it with you wherever you go.

I have a big oversized chair in my bedroom that sits in front of a window. When I feel unsettled, I sit in that chair with my magazine and get lost for awhile. Doesn't matter what time of the day or night it is or what the weather is outside....... it is my comfort place........ and the distraction can be very rejuvenating

BF.... you know when you reach out here your hand will be held.... so you're really never alone..... ~'.'~

BF, I'm so sorry you're feeling so alone. It IS an empty feeling that's hard to fill.

Byranna and others have given you some very good suggestions. I hope you are able to find a pleasant distraction to occupy your mind.

Aw, you're not alone BF. You have lots of people here who care for you. Try to think of that when you start to feel lonely.

Steve you are much, much stronger than you think you are. You are strong enough, not only to survive what life has brought you, but to thrive within it. You need to find a place in your life where you can challenge the way you have always done things, where you can risk falling down.

Find people who will applaud your daring, gently lift you when you fall and encourage you to get up and try again. Just like everyone here in the SOS forum is doing…you are not alone. :grouphug:

As I finally learned here, you are not alone. If one friend can't help, another steps in to be here for you. We all are thinking of you and praying for you. If there is anything that you think will help, please let us know. I will try my best to be of help to you. You are in my thoughts and prayers, Steve. Hope that you can rest well,
from my *heart,
reyn

I wanted to add my support and leave you some (((warm hugs)))

Take care.
