Weekend Check in Thread: Saturday, November 14, 2009

Greetings,

I hope that people are doing ok.

Today was a big day for me.
We got someone to come over and put up curtains (Hubby has never done that before).
I love my curtains. :)
They cover the ugly blinds.

And I worked on my vitamin D. The sun is clear and bright today so I sat outside for 25 minutes. I'll be sleepy later on. That will help me nap.

Weekends are good.
Enjoy your weekend.

I hope you enjoy your weekend Mari. I usually slide on weekends and the D gets worse. I try to keep busy and hold out for Monday.

((((hugs))))

Went and watched Derrick bowl this morning. He bowled the best game he has ever bowled. A 151 his average is a 87 so it was pretty neat.

Derrick and I will be going to a workshop for a few days.

welcome rhiannon!
I am going to see the musical that we saw last week tonight with a girlfriend of mine.
We purchased a new water fountian for our little 20 gallon half whiskey barrel fish pond. and a couple of new fish...it has been awhile since we had fish in the pond. our old fountain stopped working and started hosting mosquitoes which is a big no no here so we either had to break down the pond or get a new fountain.
peace to all who follow!

Anxious this weekend,
I feel as if head and feet are on backwards, two step forward, but three backwards....
The holiday, the cleaning, empty.
Maybe it is the dreary weather for the weekend. Darkness comes so early.

I want to get motivated, I want to have things spotless for the holidays, but it all is so overwhelming.
Hope everyone has a bright spot on Sunday, even me.

Di
Sending you some hugs.

I imagine its also just very hard to see the holidays.

Wanted to tell everyone to have a good start to the week.

I'll be gone till Wednesday. But if I can I'll check in.

Going to a work conference and setting up a table for IN*SOURCE.

Tried something. It worked, but I'll post it on another thread.

hi

Hi Rhiannon, great to see you! :) and thanks for your supportive message to BrokenFriend, also. hope you have a good Sunday - and a quiet one! :D

Mari, it sounds like your home is on the way to becoming more comfy and cozy. Glad you got some sun yesterday. Enjoy Sunday, now. :D

Bizi, at one time we had a fish fountain... with guppies and a statue in the middle. we didn't have a fountain, and there would have to have been mosquitoes, if i think about it... but probably between the frogs and the guppies the mosquitoes got eaten... heck not even too many frogs made it with the guppies in there. that or someone groomed it and i didn't know. anyway it was at the far end of a very long yard, not near the house. this was when i was a kid and lived ... not here. I hope you and your girlfriend enjoyed the musical... must have been good to go see it twice! Have a restful Sunday.

Donna here's wishing you well for Sunday the coming week, and congrats to Derrick! :)

Today I have the 'flu. Bipolar + Lupus + 'flue = world salad, missed wlettrs (warned you), garbled sentences and too much brainfog to even want to edir.

Pls put up with me. :Blush2:

My weekends are any other day, habebeen for rhe last 8 mnths.
I am a makor tenniis fan, so have beem following the aTP tour dilligently.

Lst night for a change and to my great delight both the playes I was backing won. Well, actually I love N adal, but poor boy has been really out of it this past season. he is clawig his way back and I am sure it wont be lon before his game if frightening agaon.

Djokovic was sublime. And my, isn't he a dish?!
Remind me please, I am cirtified middle aged.:thud:

After that it was Monfils vs Stepenek. Phew! That was pretty nail biting in bits. M is aall cute annd enttertainng. S was seriously threatening. but all of Paris was behind M. Tsonga turned up in a weird jacket with gold epulates.
all freh faced young people. Its a treat to see how they enjoy and work with their fitness.

Tonight is M vs J. Don't know who to back. djokovic shoud win, given his form now, but M wiill probbably not be sent away easy.

so I have that to look forard to. :yahoo:

HI,

I watch tennis if I catch the channel for some reason, but I don't know much about it and I am more likely to watch women's tennis. I do so love to watch Nadal.

I looked up Gaël Monfil and Novak Djokovic. Even if your Djokovic wins I hope it is a good game.

Now my interest is piqued and I don't know if I can figure out where it is on our tv. Sunday will be entirely taken up with American Football.

M.
