psychologist or psychiatrist

Does anyone know of a psychologist or psychiatrist who specializes - trained in treating those who have chronic pain and their family members in the Washington DC area? Any links or sites I can access. Thanks all! :)

Hi Jim, I m sorry I can not help you, but I saw that no one had been nice enough to post to you so I wanted too. I can share with you that I do have a speicialist here that is similar to what you are looking for and it has helped a great deal. I used to live in Washington, love the area, Im in florida now.
Perhaps contacting one of the pain centers for a referral or a pain management firm, sorry I couldnt be more help, good luck., cz

Thanks CZZ74. My wife's doc who is a pain specialist unfortunatly doesn't know anyone to refer us to in the area. I've been checking other sites for someone. We are in Fairfax county, both of us grew up in the Maryland suburbs.

Thanks again, jim

Hi Jim, I've read on this forum you can find an RSD Dr. thru RSDSA. That is the national organization for RSD. It was mentioned you can find a RSD Doc closest to you by giving your zip code. Then thru RSD Doc, should be able to get name of psychologist or psychiatrist.
I see a psychiatrist, who also is a neurologist and pharmacologist. A wonderful combination for RSD. He has also has experience with RSD. I'm in my 6th year with him. I live in Scottsdale, AZ. He just built two clinics that each have HBOT, which I'm going to try next spring.
Hope this helps. your friend, loretta
