Thanksgiving ideas
Well Thanksgiving is only a couple of days away...Pumpkin Pie...yum...with lots of whipped cream on top.
What do you do to make this holiday easier? Especially when everyone is coming to your house? My daughters are going to help me. But I'm going to be doing some stuff, and am trying to figure it all out. Actually this should have been "Holiday ideas" Cause Christmas is right around the corner. Any great recipes out there? This is my first Holiday season since I got sick...but my hubby and Mother in Law will be doing all of the cooking...I did however see pretty much everything you could imagine already made and ready to heat at Costco.... as far as having a clean house...I say clean? whats that, hehe....if my hubby can't do it, it won't get done...I'm just thankfull this year to be here and to be able to enjoy my family. It wasn't that long ago that I seriously thought I would be long gone by Thanksgiving.

Jess, I know what you mean. This Thanksgiving is going to be special to me as well. This pass January, I died right after surgery. Went into resp. failure. Took a while for them to get me to come around.
I feel so thankful. We don't have a Cosco, but we have other stores that offer all kinds of premade dishes. I think the most important part is being together. And then a Good Pumpkin Pie, chilled ofcourse!:p We're going to try to make Martha Stewarts Apple/blackberry pie. It looks so good. I even have the leaf cookie cutter for the crust. It's so sweet how your husband is going to make the turkey. Um, here in my house, we don't trust my husband with the turkey, Not until it's on the table, as we'd have to serve it bald! Wow Lizzie, a Martha Stewart pie! I just roll out Pillsbury's ready made pie crust, follow the directions on a can of Libby's pumkin pie mix and put it in the oven;)

Pat, LOLOL, yes me too, but the one she has in her magazine looks soooooo good, and then she made it on her show, It was like it was yelling out...((((((Make Me, Make Me, Make Meeee)))))

Lizzie & Jess this holiday season will definitely be special for the both of you. Our health is #1 in importance but I think pie comes a close second. :) What ever can be done to minimize the stress of the holidays is worth it. Time with family and friends is so much more important than using our strength and energy to clean. I am sure nobody really notices anyway. Take care ~ Melanie

Well I won't be celebrating Thanksgiving, as we don't here in Australia. I have however added to my "bucket list", visiting America one day, and seeing what a real live Thanksgiving is like. It may take a while tho!!!

You know, I was thinking about that today, about those who live in other countries, especially those we left. :wink: I was thinking that those in the United Kingdom, could celebrate us leaving, and we can celebrate us surviving :Scratch-Head:
For everyone else, you could just enjoy the week, and everyone can find something for which to be Thankful, right? In all seriousness, the Cyber world is big, and not all of us will be celebrating all holidays, or doing all the traditions that are out there, but I wish all of you a very wonderful healthy week, and that you feel God's Blessings on you!
