Thanks to all!
Hi everyone.
I want to thank each and everyone of you for making me feel most welcome and loved. We all share such horrible and scary stories of RSD. Those of us with this; those of us with loved ones with this. We are a strong network of very intelligent and heart-thinking individuals. I know that (for me) this is a debilitating disease. It can wreck relationships, families and even our own sense of self. It can destroy us if we are weak; and if we are strong...I, for one, will not let this destroy what I have worked so very hard for. Family. My children do not understand; my husband (married him in May) tries to understand. I do not understand; but, I believe that communication and honesty will help everyone understand. I want to understand you; and in return, hope you will understand me...we are all in this together. I see us together as a strong unit. One better to fight the enemy then try to fight alone. I am with you all and will support you through your trials and tribulations; and know in my soul you will be there for me also. So, thanks for everyone's support...rest easy, friends. As we are all one. |
Thank you Kim. I hope that things turn around for you. My prayers are with you and your family. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Aww. Thanks, Sandy. You're gonna make me cry! You have been so supportive of me, even when you have a larger battle to fight. I respect you and your wisdom. Thanks for being a great friend! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! (p.s. it's my birthday!) Hope to hear from you again soon! (Just friend requested you.) Kim

Hi Kim. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, ( I wish you could hear me sing!) Thanks for the friends request you are my first! :) :)I will tell you that your kids will come around, I go to my room and cry a lot too. I spent the past four days alone, and I really miss them. They are coming home today and I know that all of my hard work cleaning will be out the window! I feel rested. Maybe you should take a little time to yourself. Have all of your friends gone to wayside? If not try to go to a movie or even for a cup of coffee. I'm glad to see Mike responded to your post, he is a wealth of information and terrific guy. You will get a lot of support here. Keep a smile on your face remember stress brings on pain. I like to go for small walks with Lindsay, (when she is up to it) She'll ask me to watch a really bad movie with her, but even if I know I am not going to like it I stick it out. I dropped one off at college two and a half years ago and I had a sense of relief but quite a big sadness. Now she is an adult and I think she really appreciates me now. She calls everyday just to talk. Be thankful for your life, why God dealt you this hand is not understood. I tell Lindsay that every day. You know just in December when she had a really bad flare, she was hospitalized and the doctor on the floor kept grabbing her leg, I had to threaten her, she sent a psych consult to talk with her because she insisted she was faking, because she heard her laughing with me. I will never forget that day...fortunately a pm doctor came to see her and diagnosed the RSD and the floor doctor was put in her place. But the lesson learned by Lindsay that day, a 15 year old child, was that doctors are cruel, and her plan for the rest of her life was that she was going to be a doctor. She wants to be a hospitalist. The doctor that takes care of you when you are in the hospital. She said those doctors are the worst they have no compassion. We all have life lessons, some good some horrible. But, we can look at this as God's way of making us stronger. Trust in God, never lose your faith, I know it is tested often but He will always be there for you.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and we will talk soon. Love Sandy Quote:

Happy Birthday, Kim!! I have to add that I was once told by an Aunt of mine that god did not wish for us to be ill with RSD.. He simple wants the best for us and has asked that we be positive, sound minded strong examples for others who are less strong than us..to see that we can smile thru our horrific pain and the dismay of our illness. Now I am not the most religious person although I have strength and faith in my heart.. but I do know that I draw strength and wisdom from my family and friends.. I know we will make it each and every day with RSD..as we need to take baby steps and be greatful for what we have along the way.:grouphug: Happy Thanskgiving!!! |
