SSDI problems getting paid

Hello I am new to this forum, I was aproved for Social Security Disabled adult child benefits in Spetember 2009 at the hearing level. I have had problems getting my money. Here is wait happened it is a long story. On November 5, 2009 I recieved a letter from SSA baltimore MD stating that they sent a payment on october 22,2009 but that the payment was returned due to incorrect banking information. I have been at the same bank since I applied for benefits. I called the local social security office and gave they lady my correct banking information over the phone she told me it would take 5-7 days to get my returned retroactive payment. so I waited 5-7 days and still no back pay. So then I went to the local office and gave the lady the correct banking information. Then I waited some more, still no back pay. so i went to the local office again and this time i saw a different lady she told me the lady i saw last time messed up on the banking information because she entered my ss number as the claim number instead of my mothers ss number as the claim number. ( I am recieveing benefits off my mothers record as an disabled adult child.) the lady said my monthly benefit check was set to go out on november 25, 2009 for $860 she did not say when i would get my backpay pay. Anyway fourth wensday comes and i check my account and my mounthly check is not there. So I go to the local social security office again. the lady said they have the correct banking information now, but that the treasury dept. has not processed the new direct deposit information. the lady said she would have the treasury dept issue an emergency check for my monthly benefits. the lady said I am due two monthly checks one for october and one for november for $860 each. she said it could take till tuesday december 1 for the emergency monthly checks to reach my account. she said she would call me on friday to give me an update; but she never did.I have tried calling my attroney and asking him to call the payment center; he called the payment center but cannot get through to a human being. any advice on what i should do? the lady at the social security office did not say when they would reissue the backpay. after going through all this it is hard for me to trust anyone at social security because what they tell you doesn't always happen and they make mistake after mistake.

I am guessing that you may have heard from them by now. Sounds like you have done what needs to be done. Sometimes our patience is pulled pretty thin . . . but you will get your payments. Hang in there.

Hi everyone I just wanted to give an upadate. I checked my bank account. On November 30, 2009 there was a deposit from ssa for $1,720 and on the first there was another deposit for $1720. However, I have not recieved all of my backpay. I recieved two letters from ssa balitmore MD today the letters both say the same thing " we are sending you a check for $1720,this includes benefits due you through november 2009, after that you'll get $860 each month." The letter also states " when we are done working on your claim we will send you a letter explaining your benefit amount" I am happy that i got some of my money:) but i am still wondering about the when I will get my backpay that was returned over a mouth ago.
