Results of sleep study...sheesh!

Saw my neuro this morning. I called yesterday about the continued leg pain and how I can't sleep and am having difficulty functioning.
He pulled out my sleep study I had at the end of Oct. I had 198 apnea incidences over the course of 7 hrs... He said, "If I had that amount, I would warn anyone near me, 'cause I'd probably be irritated enough to strangle them!"
He showed my DH and me my negative numbers associated with not getting deep restorative sleep, and explained how the CPAP works. So I have to schedule another study with the machine.
All in all it was a most informative appt...I never had a neuro explain in detail a test like he did...he's awesome!:D

Was that Dr. W? If so, I agree, he's pretty awesome! :D

Where is this Dr W? Maybe I should take mom to him.

He's in Northbrook Sandy, and he's awesome. He has mostly MS patients but he's brilliant and I imagine he knows how to treat any type of neurological problem. He's also an excellent listener. I wish I could either clone him or, he'd open an office in DeKalb. :)

No kidding, Wiz...I have never, never in my 54 yrs had a doc like him...Sandy, Wiz and I both drive a long way to see him...it's well worth it...this from a woman who is prejudiced against docs...can't say enough about him...DH agrees...

Thank you for the update Debbie. That's pretty intense about the apnea! Sheesh!

I'm glad you found a thorough doc. I'm sure they'll do what's best for you! :)

I wish Northbrooke was not so far away -- about 4 hours:(

I know he has some patients who come from farther away than that Barb!
