Is the winter storm across the US affecting anyone here?

Hi,

I'm going to call my brother later. He lives in Massachusetts but near the coast and not likely to get the worst of winter storms. Still, I owe him a phone call anyway.

I hope that every one effected by any difficult weather is ok.

Stay warm and safe if that is warranted.
And tell us your stories if you have any. :)

M.

It is pretty bad in my state, but we only got some of it last night. More to come to come today.

What IS bad is the sudden pressure falling, setting off my pain issues...that is much worse than the snow itself IMO. I have had to get my Salonpas patches out for my feet..they were terrible yesterday evening!

Mrs. D  Hope you are feeling better soon.

I sure can understand this one. I have some issues going on with pain too.

We are getting the cold weather, and probably more snow.

Donna

Dear MrsD.,

Dear Donna,

I hope that both of you catch a break with the pain issues. http://bestsmileys.com/comfort/2.gif http://bestsmileys.com/comfort/2.gif

affecting

I used the wrong word in the TITLE.
I should have written affecting instead of effecting.
The grammar gods will forgive me I hope.

Today is my brother's birthday. I had completely forgotten about his b-day until after I was speaking to him. Isn't that great? It snowed early in the a.m. but they are going to get lots of rain later.

I am pretty sure there are programs on the net that would allow you to enter important dates to a calender and then it would allert you a few days in advance of that date...I know on facebook the persons birthdate of one of your friends becomes visible to let you know, almost too late though if you wanted to send something, I think it gives you 2-3 days notice.
I am sorry that you forgot his birthday. You can always send him a belated birthday card...they have some nice ones that I have seen. I sometimes miss my neices by a couple of days...(bad aunt)
the last card I got her said" It was a guy running to catch a football:
I knew it was coming,
I knew it was coming,
I knew it was coming...but then I blew it. (and he missed the ball).
In my hubbys family. the 2 brothers never get them sent ahead of time.... mothers day fathers day birthdays are sent late....they call each other but always but the boxes come later, it works for them.

Your brother understands the stress you have been under I am sure. don't be too hard on yourself.
Work winding down?

Would you like me to change the spelling for you?
I don't typically pay attention to that little grammar thing...everyone does it...IMO. But I'll be glad to change it for you.

Check out my siggy temperature widget:eek:

Our woodstove is keeping us toasty warm though.:D

I can feel it in my neck and shoulder muscles, but part of it could be from moving furniture around and filling up the wood pile.

ugh, Jo. But my foot was hurting before the snow came...12hrs before. My hubby showed me our barometer. He thinks it is the lowest he has ever seen here! It has a marking hand so you can put it over the last reading and see how much changed...and it is IMPRESSIVE.

It is 41 now. We are expecting 20 tonight, and all the melted snow will turn to ICE ...blech! We live on a hill 15 steps up...ICE is deadly daily for US! But at least my foot is a bit less painful today. Those Salonpas are great I have to say!;)

They say we will have a chances of snow/ice coming this weekend.
But we will get a bit of a warm up with the coastal moisture and jet stream changes when it comes in.

I'll have to stock upon a few things just to be prepared, don't want to need to drive if icey.
