Hi everyone...I'm a struggling b12 deficient (among other things) person..
My name is Deb. I came across this site and started reading after I found out I had a b12 level of 153. I was researching it, and started learning a whole lot.
I also have a TSH level of 645...my RBC count is low and I also have a pretty messed up neck due to a job related injury. Anyway, I am very happy to be around people who are going through the same things I am. I found out my levels in July of this year, and have not been able to address them yet. I am now at the point of horribly burning feet, and going up my calf. I am already brain fog, balance problems, slurred speech, terrible leg pains. I cannot follow a conversation too well as I cannot digest what is being said.. I go to the doctor tomorrow for the first time. I have not had insurance so I haven't gone. I am so thankful to finally be getting some help. Although I also see from this forum to not expect too much in the way of help from doctors..Was wondering if anyone had any sugesstions on how to approach the doc? It seems I cry at the drop of the hat now. Don't want to go in there and "blow" my chance at treatment by them thinking I am a head case. I would appreciate any help before I go... I am glad to be apart of this community. I have talked to CRYTEARS and she let me know what kind of b12 supplements to get. I am just waiting on them... |

I was wondering what your TSH is ...that number you posted doesn't look quite right. Is there a decimal point in there somewhere? You told me you were seeing the doctor on Wednesday...was that date changed? I've been waiting for an update from you. You can PM me anytime. |
Thanks..
Thank you for the post..I PM you MrsD. I hope it went through, because it didn't come up on my record of sending anything...
Thank you .. TSH level 6.450 uIU/mL Glad my head is connected...otherwise I would be in trouble.. :) |
Welcome to Neurotalk--
--and that TSH level, even with the decimal point, is too high.
Have they also done thryoid hormone level testing--T3, T4? |

Dr visit
Well, I went to the doc yesterday. I have to wait 1 month for my results... I did get a b12 shot, after she took my blood for tests. She said she was going to do the T3-T4 and MMA along with other good things for my workup. I was hoping for a great blast of energy from the B12, but I didn't get it. Although I don't feel as bone tired....I started my B12 5000mcg this morning, so maybe i'll feel better by the time I get my results.
I guess now I just wait and see.. In the meantime I will continue to learn and do things on this site that work for everyone...Thanks Deb |
