Death of a friend

Just found out I'm going to the funeral home tonight. He was more my brother's friend than mine but he dated a friend of mine. Small town, everybody knew everybody. Very sad he was only late 40's and they think it was self inflicted. Please do not pass jusdgement... he did have a rough life, and nobody knows what was in his head.

I'm sorry for your loss, Brain.

My best friends, 24 yr old grand nephew, died yesterday of Diabitis complecations. :( So sad, so young.

Brain, I'm so sorry. :( He was very young. It breaks my heart that there are others who are so distraught that they resort to this.

My condolences, Brain. :( It doesn't matter how, it is a loss just the same. :(

You, too, Sal, it seems to sting more this time of year, doesn't it? :(

Oh, Sally that is so sad...

It was just a couple years ago, one of the gang died - Danny, he was mid forties. And I didn't know this just found out last night, but a few months after that, his youngest brother Dale died too. This just a couple years after their father died. Their poor mother. And the guy that just passed -Tim - was like another son to her, so I know how hard she's going to take this.

And then one of my friends lost her 19 yr old daughter Tasha to cancer. And my friend (her sister) had that accident and she barely lived through that.

This summer, I went to two viewings the same day - my other friends' mom Mary and my mom's dear friend Betty.

It's tough enough to lose them in their 80's - even that is too soon. The old gang is thinning too fast.

We were saying last night at the viewing, we need to MAKE time to get together. The only time we see each other anymore is at funerals.

I think that's gonna be my new years resolution, planning monthly parties.
