Are all sensory neuropathies DRG? Or just like shingles?

mrsD 12-20-2009 12:27 PM

Shingles lives in the dorsal nerve roots. It activates mysteriously and people vary in this response.

That article has a significant keyword: HEREDITARY malfunctioning nerves in the dorsal root. Nerves that are missing a gene from birth.

Neuronopathies are somewhat different from neuropathies.

Neuronopathy is damage to the neuron itself. It is more specific.

Neuropathy may include unusual sensations and is a more global term:

It includes neuronopathies.
