WOW! 22 inches of snow in the NE.

Hi everyone! I live in MD and we just got hammered with 22 inches of powdery snow! I have lived here all my life, and remember as a child getting this much snow. We still went to school. We still went to work. We didn't panic and crowd the grocery stores. Seems like people now days freak out at the thought of snow. As an adult child I really enjoyed it. As a person with RSD, naaaa! Just wish I could go sledding!:winky: Good think I'm going to my pain doc tomorrow!

We got about 20 inches where I live in RI - it's truly very beautiful!! I love it!! Very difficult on the RSD head and shoulder and leg...but I keep walking (wrapped up liked a mummy) and my dog Sammy is just thrilled. He loves the white stuff, too!!

Sometimes you have to just stop and look around and appreciate the beauty of it. (Before the snow plows come and turn it all yucky brown and dirty).

The storm did put me way behind for Christmas though. Unlike Pete, I don't have any alcohol on my list (doesn't go with my meds, can't remember the last time I had a drink, it was that many months ago!!) but I am SOOOO far behind on everything else, and all I want to do is sleep.... I should have just ordered everything online a month ago. Dumb, dumb, dumb. And I had a lidocaine infusion this morning, which made me tired again today....how times have changed.

XOXOX Sandy

I've been whinning about the cold weather here in Florida. It has been in the 50's during the night! brrrrrrrrr! We Floridians are wimps! I will tell you that I turned on the heat tonight...I am freezing.

Stay warm all you Northerners!

 Sandy

P.S. I grew up in Massachusetts so I know how cold you are! :D

Hi Kim, Wow, how beautiful that must be!. I grew up in Oregon and my daughter and I loved to snow ski as well as lots of our friends. Oregon has some gorgeous skiing.
I have had this monster 15 years, so it's been a while. I'm an optimist, when we moved from Oregon to Arizona 12 years ago, I brought my snow skiies, boots, and ski wear. LOL REALLY I never want to give up. Wonderful memories.
Stay warm, we are having 50's at night and 60's daytime. I watched the freestyle jumps this weekend-so much fun-the winners get to go to Vancouver for the Olympics. I love to watch all the things I used to be able to do before RSD. Especially water skiing and tennis and snow skiing. I miss it, but grateful for having all the fun times with my friends and daughter. She and her husband now enjoy those things.
Thanks for the snow update-stay cozy warm with the fire going. loretta with snow powder soft hugs:grouphug:
