clinical study recruiting brain injury patients for hormone therapy
Hey All,
This is a clinical study being conducted in Texas for the treatment of growth hormone deficiency in Traumatic Brain Injury. They are currently recruiting patients and just because you don't live in Texas that doesn't mean you can't participate in the study. I would encourage everyone who reads this to call them to find out if you would qualify for the study. http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/N...jury%22&rank=6 |
Interesting hGH idea. Often, physicians will try rhGH to stimulate brain cell regeneration. They have not mentioned 'deficient hGH' as a reason for the rhGH. Rather, they pursue the regrowth and possible healing properties of rhGH independent of hGH levels.
This is a common 'life extension' therapy. Sounds like a severe trial. Daily IM injections of rhGH or placebo and a few muscles biopsies. At least the placebo controls will have a chance to try the rhGH after the study is over. |
