It's National Go to the Zoo day

I wish I was feeling better, I so LOVE going to the zoo, maybe later I can go and do a short tour. WE also have Zoo lights with hundreds of thousands of lights at night. I hope to get to go. Wish me luck.

Will you be celebrating National Go to the Zoo day?

I plan to monkey around, eat like a pig, and be as active as a sloth! :D

Our Zoo in Atlanta is a pretty far distance from me. And it's not in the greatest area, either. I'd be scared to go down there without some sort of protection (like my son and his gun). It's been years since I've been but I always enjoyed it when I did. I think the last time I went was in 1996 with DS22's elementary school class on a field trip! Now that was interesting!

Too cold here to see the little animals. 17 degrees, brrrr.

National Go to the Zoo Day?!?!??! Well, it does make sense my ex's birthday is today... He is a cross breed of a donkey and a monkey... LOL

Nope it's "national sit around the house playing computer games and enjoying the peace and quiet of all the children being gone day" here in virginia.

If the Zoo wants me, they can come and get me. :D

Sal, I think they're on their way for you right now. :p

We're off to the zoo next feb, the day before we fly out. They've got a couple of Panda's and i've never seen a real live one before.

I went with my ds's preschool one time. One of the chimps had a new baby, and a *toddler*. So cute, how the toddler was pestering for attention, jealous of the newborn. and mom was just a little impatient with the constant tugging at her arm.

When all our kids had their noses pressed to the glass enclosure, she brought baby up to the window to show off her bundle of joy. You should have hear the Oohhs and ahhs!

:)

I felt like she could totally relate to what we shaparones were dealing with, 5 ladies against 20 toddlers. I'm sure she did not envy us, lol.

Well, Earl, I didn't get there on the right "day", did go with my family and 5 grandkids on New Years Eve. That's 2 years in a row for us visiting Phoenix Zoo and their fabulous lights!

We went after dark, so didn't see many animals, but we did get to see their 2 new Komodo Dragons (waaay cool!).

Were you able to make it, Earl?
