crushed L2 and more// nn help
 

I broke my L2 about 7 weeks ago. I have a piece of the bone moving around the spinal cord and a hematoma between L1 and L2. This is from the MRI.

The first 3 weeks were all most useless in getting help. I live in Mexico and am an hour away from an MRI machine. ONE of the most pain full rides I have every had . Lets just say transporting back patients is not something they know about.
THE MRI was at the end of the first 3 weeks... I had an xray the first day, the on call DR just said it was a crack .. ( OLD OLD xray machine) I was sent home in horrible pain..

THen I went back to the hospital in 2 days because of the pain, they did a CT 4 days later which showed the break but showed it as on old break with a new lesion on top. ( only pain management was morphine).
When Morphine no longer shut me up they took me to the MRI.

I have been placed in a brace and told NOT to move for 3 months. I am allowed to get up to use the potty chair (6 inches)... no walking no moving... and they don't plan more xrays until 3 months....
Does this sound right? Standing is okay but sitting hurts like crazy.
I want to go to the USA of not sure how i can sit thru the place ride.

Should I try walking and getting stronger or is 3 months flat really needed..
any advice and help is welcome,
