Update

I had my 3rd ketamine infusion in LA on the 29th, my doc went with a dose in between the 1st two that I got, yet started it at a higher rate than before. The details I'm not sure of just yet, I haven't asked... but before I went under he said we'd go for 1200 mg of k over the 4 hours. When I came to I was pain free once again, yet although I had Ativan to push out the hallucinations I was still seeing some crazy ****!!!! Nothing bad or scary, just weird..... but I knew that it was a hallucination so i wasn't like freaking out or anything. So he had to call in another medication to eliminate my odd visions of mythical creatures and form phasing rooms...

But ya, so far so good!!!!

Hey Subby! ;)

I'm so glad to hear it's going well so far! (I'm So jealous, lol. I could do with a ketamine infusion right now!) Anyway, I hope it continues to work wonders for you with minimal side effects. You really deserve this one to have long lasting effects.

Just a short question...

First, let me say I am very happy that the ketamine infusions have worked so well for you. I have read you posts very often and don't understand why the doctor your working with has such a different protocol.

I have done the 5 day in-patient 3 times, working with a very prominent doctor in NYC and Dr. Schwartzman. I learned quite a bit about the procedure and the doses that are given and why. When you say 1200 MG that confuses me because during a 5 day procedure they slowly up your dose to a target rate of 35 - 45 mg an hour infusing for 24 hours a day, depending what each person can tolerate, and from what I understand they are beginning to give patients a break from the ketamine during each day just so the body can rejuvenate. And when it comes to the boosters I have seen other patients take in as high as 75mg an hour. As for myself I don't react to the ketamine very well so they always take it slow in my case. So here's the question what does 1200 mg represent I really would like to understand?

Thanks for the help and again congratulations.
