Plasmapheresis cost
Happy New Year Everyone!
Now that we're in the new year of course so isn't a lot of our insurances. I received my last IVIG treatment on December 31st because of my co-pay cost. I've been given IVIG once a week for about 4 years and this will be the first time I've gone without it. My doctor wants me to receive plasmapheresis because my co-pay is 20% which he feels would be cheaper for me (Not so for my insurance co). The thing is I don't have a clue what the cost of pheresis would be - is it really cheaper? If anyone could throughout a few number for me I would really appreciate it. Thank you! |
I think you may want to copy this post to our MG forum...
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum77.html Welcome to NeuroTalk. You will find the MG forum very helpful and friendly. I believe that the IVIG is much more expensive than plasmapharesis. The cost of IVIG has gone up considerably. |
