Your Average Day
I was just wondering if each of you could give a time table of your average day - lately l I have been feeling hard done by being limited by my rest and sleep time during the day. Going on 9 years with this and sooooooo fed up!
My average day is as follows 8am - drag self out of bed and force myself to go for a walk (once again I give up walking ocassionally) 9.30 - shower and then breakfast 10.30- read newspaper, do crossword and code breaker to ensure brain functions, maybe check out email, basic household chores 11.30 - half hour of eyes shut flat on my back on bed - this prevents headaches 12.30 -lunch - sometimes meeting a friend (who works) in a quiet cafe 2.30/3ish sleep - flat on my back with alarm to wake me 4.30 - prepare dinner, get washing in - or do nothing if feeling grotty 9.30/10pm bed maybe sleep maybe prowl around the house....... if lucky sleep......... Note if I have something special to do -eg doctors appointment, hair dresser, decide to wash my car- basically anything out of the ordinary most of the above, aside from the rest and sleep time is not done. Appointments are made to fit in with the rest times as if rest times are missed I don't sleep at all at night and it takes about a week to recover. So I am just wondering am I alone here???? Lynlee |
Lynlee,
Your schedule sounds familiar. You sound to be more prone to out of the house activity than me. I don't have the head ache problems but instead have a myriad of meaningless reasons from dozing off during the day. I can be watching an informative show on satellite TV and wake up hours later. It can be frustrating to not finish an informative show. My mind never gets to finish understanding, or trying to understand, something new. So, I would suggest you are in good company. Surviving for another day is just about it for many of us. |
Lynlee,
I have a little bit of a different daily schedule, but only because my husband gets the kids on the bus for me. I wake whenever I wake- usually around 11 or 12. I drink a couple cups of coffee and watch tv or go online while I wake up for about an hour. I veg out for a little while, and get the kids off the bus around 3:45. I go through their homework with them and give them a snack. Then, I start dinner, eat with my family, veg some more and go to bed. I don't drive, or get around very easily. It's tough to see half my day wasted, but I can't usually get to sleep until very late and most nights I have a lot of trouble staying asleep. I try to get a shower in every 2 or 3 days, depending if I have to leave the house or not. I guess we just all have to do what we have to do to get through our day. |
sleep
I know, and I too struggle with motivation, and finishing things, all sign,s of frontal cortex damage , or just chronic pcs.
but sleep is so important. I have to lay flat many times a day to sort out the HA and nausea, I find zopiclone helpful with night time sleep, and staying with the rhythm of the family and the rest of the planet now my GP trusts me to only take it, when I really have to, I know when I will have one of those nights, and take it an hour before it dosan,t zonk me too much the next day, well dosan,t add to my zonkyness |
