Mad!

Ok, I've got MS. I'm visually impaired.

I just got over-ruled by my wife. Nope. No 82" TV. No 73" TV. No 60" TV.

We're getting a 55" LCD job. The 65" Plasma job is 500 bucks cheaper but I got MS and make less $ than her so she gets her way...

B***h... Still love her, but she just doesn't get it...

I'm being funny but I'm still disappointed. I WANT A 5000 INCH TV! OR BIGGER! I'M A GUY thing...

The 50" rear projection Sony goes to the master bedroom and the 27" goes to the game room and the 25 " goes to the spare bedroom, etc.

I WANT A 10,000 INCH TV!!!

Don't you women understand???

And she makes all of 20 cents an hour more than me. Sheesh!!!!!

Tom

LOL Sally. :D

Tom,

DH and I have similar arguments once in awhile. I used to be a SAHM and he always got to make the big decisions. So I went back to school, started working, and now, I make more per year than he ever did. :p So I get the final say so these days. ;) :D

If nothing else, it will keep me working because I like having the last word. :highfive: :icon_mrgreen:

I'm just gonna sell my 13 inch black and white Zenith from 1972 and move next door to Tom!

It won't matter where I stand in my house, it sounds like I will be watching some FINE FINE television! :p

(I'll just save the old B&W for the sound, like my dear old Dad made us do back in the day when he repaired televisions...we always had 2 televisions going, one for picture and one for sound!) :D

I agree with women everywhere, .20 is .20! ;)

I'm a girl and I totally understand the big tv thing. I've got the 32 inch LCD tv in my bedroom. (finally got it hung on the wall last week) and my mom has the 60in plasma tv upstairs that my dad bought a couple of years ago.

I love both tv's. Last night, I put a Stargate Atlantis dvd from my box set into the dvd player and just laid down in bed and watched dvds all night. I'm so glad that my eyes are working great right now, because it was so cool to watch some tv that wasnt grainy looking. It's an HD LCD tv, but I dont have an HD cable box, or an HD Tivo, I dont even have an HD or Blue Ray dvd player. But, heck, commercial dvd's still look so much better than the cable signal that goes to my tv.

I'm really appreciating my eyes right now because they're working great (well, better than they were when I last had ON). Tv sucks when you have vision issues going on from MS. Yay for remissions!

Ok, have her read this. Of course i don't bring in any money but it's worth a try.

Jim has a 47 inch in the master bedroom, a 50 inch in the gameroom, a 32 inch in the living room. Oh and did I mention I agreed to a Sony surround sound speaker set too? Oh and a blue ray, two xbox's and a Wii. He's so spoiled. He has vision issues, what can I say? :p

No, we didn't buy these all at once. It started with a 15 inch lcd and we went bigger each time. And everything was paid with cash, no CC. I had to draw the line somewhere. :D

And what's the big deal anyway? $500 bucks cheaper and you get ten more inches? I know a few who would love that deal! hahahahahaha

I still have my 60" projection TV that's 7 years old. I'm expecting it to bite the dust any day now but it just keeps going and going. Next TV I buy will be a LCD flat screen. By the time I buy one they should be fairly inexpensive.

I still have all older model TV's. I have a 19" Panasonic in the breakfast area so I can watch while I'm in the kitchen. It's probably 13 or 14 years old. The TV in my bedroom is a 13" that is probably 15 years old. DS has a 19" in his bedroom but that one is also about 12 years old.

I'd love to have a newer model flat screen that doesn't take up so much room. My projection TV is a monster but it still works so that's good enough for me! :)

ooooh! I am a techie girl! I am the one chasing down the electronic deals. I have a 65" LCD in the LR and a 32" 1080p in the BR. HDMI and 120ghz reso~ wheeee!!!! The dolby digital surround 5.1 OMG! the woofers, and the tweeters! I even updated the firmware!

still....20cents is 20cents. I suggest for a week you get a paper route and put her to shame, if only for a week.

Kitty 01-24-2010 05:42 PM

My DS installed a surround sound system on our LR television. I have no idea how it works....but it only amplifies the volume on movies - not regular television. When he puts a movie in to watch you can hear it in the next county......no lie. It's just like being in a movie theater. I can't take it. I have to go watch in my bedroom with the door closed. Just last week he watched some cops and robbers movie and the pictures on my wall literally shook.

Oh Tom, Now I'm mad cause mine is only 42". Was it the Godzilla movie that stated, "size doesn't matter" (I never saw the movie, but the Taco Bell chihuahua used to misquote this on a commercial and say "size does matter". Guess it does in some things.
