Eye Surgery

This coming Monday, Feb. lst. I am going to have cataract surgery
in my left eye.

This is also the eye that has been damaged by ON. The dr. said that
I will see better, but that I will still probably have to wear my glasses because of the damage by ON.

I am a little nervous about this. My DSIL had surgery done on her eye
many years ago, and went blind in the eye. Spoke with the dr. about my
feelings and he just feels that there most have been other complications with
her eye. WELL!! I have another problem with the eye.

"DO YOU THINK I AM JUST BEING A LITTLE TOO NERVOUS AND APPREHENSIVE ABOUT THIS"

How many of you have had cataract surgery. Did you have another problem with your eye also?

Jappy :(

My Mom had it at 75, with no complications and she could put her glasses away. :)

Gooluck and good wishes.

I have had surgery on both eyes. :):)

The only bad part is the prep where they keep putting in eye drops that burn. The surgery itself is not that bad at all.

The first surgery; I was really concerned about being awake and hearing and feeling everything but it was not bad at all so the second I was prepared for and it went just as good.

I went to work the next day with those lovely sunglasses on both times.

I wanted mono vision so I have a nearsighted eye and a farsighted eye so works out great and no glasses! :D

several of my neighbors have had it done. zip zip no issues. One doesnt even wear glasses anymore. My MIL had it done, as well as my mother. Both did just fine. I cant think of anyone that had a problem afterwards.

Nerves can be intense! hang in there.

Technique & equipment have improved over the years too, so if you have a good & skilled dr that you trust, you should be just fine.

I wish you the best and am optimist that you will do just fine.

Will be leaving in about 20 minutes for the surgery.

I figured I go on line now, because I don't think I will be on the rest
of the day.

Have a good day everyone.
