Dove Promises
 

So what's the DEAL with my Dove dark chocolate promises? Didn't they used to have little words of wisdom, sweet sayings, etc. on the little foil wrappers?

Now they have hints from Martha Stewart? "Replace tea bag tags with red paper hearts"? "Store valentine chocolate in a cool, dry place but out of the sun"? Hello?

Do they (Mars) think that people who keep Martha Stewart-like homes sit around eating chocolate? Or do they think people who are sitting around eating chocolate WANT to learn little housekeeping tips?

I don't call that one of the top ten brilliant marketing moves.

Martha has her grubby, capitalistic, material, little/big hand into everything..:rolleyes::mad:

I wouldn't care if it was Betty Crocker. Why do I want to spoil a perfectly good piece of dark chocolate with reminders of the cleaning and decorating I'm not doing? Or ever going to do?

Hershey's Bliss dark is also very good. No Martha there to irritate either! Give some a try, I think you'll like them better ;)

Oh, believe me, I have tried the Hershey's Bliss, and they are very good...but they're not Dove. I don't prefer the hearts, but the normal squares that one can bite in half and let melt in the mouth. *sigh* I've just got to stop reading the wrappers. Or...Lindor truffles...

and as you eat the chocolateyl melt in your mouth goodness you promise never to replace your tea bags, or spend your days being martha... I wonder if she annoyed her cell mates with how to tips while she was in jail?
