morphine sulfate er
So my primary provider prescribed this (15 mg) today.
Any stories and/or things to watch for? Does it help? Cowboy |
At least it probably will let you sleep better

Been using morphine for 8 years
Eight years ago my doctors tried everything available. Finally they said morphine. I started with 30mg but in less than a year i was taking 240mg.
It took that amount to get my pain down to 2 and 3. Two years ago i started reducing my intake. In six months i was taking 60mg. It is now enough to kept my pain at 2 and 3. The morphine i take is a slow release so i do not get any europhiac feeling from it. Just relief. these numbers are what i took on a daily basis. I feel i am blessed because i have never had any side effects. I will continue taking morphine and vitamins until i cure myself or die trying. George |
If it is MS Contin, I doubt you will feel side effects, although everyone is different in how they process narcotics. I take 15-30 mg (this is a low dosage) at night before bed. I don't feel any side effects and it keeps me from waking in pain. I used to have a problem with waking in pain.
The low-dose MS contin and my Temperpedic mattress help me to sleep well, and I feel rested in the morning. P.S. 15 mg is the lowest dosage available. |

Morphine is constipating over time. On your low dose Prunes may be enough if you have difficulty.
