Can anyone recommend a good nuerologist in Sydney?
Hello all,
I'm new on here and have been suffering from PCS for around 5 months. Some days are not too bad, others, like today, feel as if someone has come along and replaced my brain with a damp sponge. I think its time to see a neurologist and was wondering if anyone can recommend a good one in Sydney, Australia? Thanks for any help and I wish everyone well in their recovery :) |
Hi, Huxsted
I went to Rosemary Boon in Parramatta. She is a nuero psychologist who works with a neurologist nearby. Sorry I can't remember his name but she took me to him to have my QEEG completed. It was well with the trip from New Zealand. She also deals with ADHD in children. I thoroughly recommend that you contact her, of all the specialists that I have seen, she completed tests that showed why I had the problems. Unfortunately we have recently shifted and my "brain accident" file is still packed so I can't give you the exact address. I think you could google her and find her address. I am glad that you found this site and are looking for help. good luck, Lynlee |
My friend sees a neuro at one of the hospitals in the Western suburbs that she's really happy with. This one bulk bills so if you live out that way, that's always a bonus.
I haven't been able to contact her tonight, but I'll try again tomorrow and see if I can get the name for you. |
Thank you

Sorry but I haven't been able to contact my GF yet, but I know it's Dr Susan ???? (some-one) and I think she's mostly at the Liverpool Hospital.
I have heard very good reports about the Sydney Neurology Brain & Mind Research Institute in Camberdown, that you might want to look into. They have a group of about 6 neurologists who treat a wide variety of neurological conditions. Here's their website which has some good info on it, including some information about each of their neuros, and contact details. http://www.sydneyneurology.com/ Other than that, I have another GF who sees Prof. Watson at the SAN. and I know some-one else who sees: Assoc. Prof. Jonathan Ell Suite 8/80 Kitchener Parade Bankstown NSW 2200 He also has rooms at: Suite 2/a 155 Missenden Road Newtown NSW 2042 I hope you find that helpful. If not, could you please let me know if you wish me to keep trying to contact my friend. |
