Pregnant and MG

I have been missing due to being really busy with work lately.

Since I know several here have had MG for over a decade I was hoping that someone may have experienced pregnancy with MG. We recently found out we're expecting and I have tried to only use the Mestinon when I really need it, at least to get over that important first trimester but I am really struggling. It is hard to say what is tiredness from the MG and what is from bieng pregnant, but I do feel sluggish in the legs and arms so I know that is from MG. I have a call into my neuro and will of course ask the OB but what should I expect during my pregnancy now that I have MG?

Thanks in advance.:)

First and foremost Congratulations!

I had MG while pregnant {unDx'ed} when I think back on it, I was weaker than I should have been but I always chalked it up to the pregnancy. My Dr. even said it was all pregnancy related, in fact he called it Pregnancy related MS that would go away with the birth of my child.

Needless to say, he was wrong..LOL

I would think as long as you take it easy you should not have a problem. When I was pregnant, I was also a mom to an 8 year old, doing volunteer work, and working full time. But I paced myself and sat when needed to sit, speaking was a huge problem though..LOL

I did give birth 5 weeks early and Dr said my muscles just became to weak {I don't know thats true or not}

I wish you a safe, healthy and happy pregnancy and I hope you keep us updated along the way :)

Thanks so much for responding. It is good to know that someone out there got through their pregnancy relatively okay.
