More questions on pain?
Those who have leg pain, does it hurt your legs to walk, and are very weak. I have an appt. next week and will ask if I can elevate my LDN to 4.5 mg. What do you take for pain, I'm taking ibuprofen 400 mg. twice daily and it doesn't hold me especially during the night, I wake up in severe pain. Just needing help. Thanks

I have this most of the time to varying degrees. I don't take anything other than Neurontin.
Most of the time I just grin and bear it and do my best to ignore it. I move around a lot during the day just to keep it at bay. I also makes sure I stretch every morning and night. I swear by my Epsom salt baths when things get bad. It really helps to relax the muscles. You can also use Epsom salt compresses if getting in to the tub is difficult. On really, really bad days - like my leg is locked up - I will break down and take a little bit of valium. I really feel for you and hope you can find something that helps you. I am not a big meds person and am sensitive to them so I do the absolute minimal meds. |

i've had bad muscle pain very widespread thru my body for many yrs.
i take lyrica for neuropathic pain. my pain dr also put me on amrix. it's a muscle relaxer. i think it's a long acting type of flexeril. my legs are always tight tho. especially if i've been doing a lot during the day. i take darvocet for general pain. i get a deep tissue massage every wk. i hope your dr can come up with something to help you. pain is no fun. |
Leg pain is my main symptom right now...I can't stand for more than 5 minutes before they really start to ache, esp the shins. If I move around a bit they feel better for awhile, but then they begin to weaken and hurt.
I take zanaflex, a muscle relaxant. It's not working as long as it was before. I take a prescription NSAID for arthritis pain but it doesn't touch this pain. |
My legs seem to hurt more w/added activity. I've had a dickens of a time w/my pain level this Winter. I don't do well on muscle relaxers, so end up taking Tramadol to take the edge off. My PT has me sleeping w/2 pillows under the full length of my legs to elevate them. I took a body pillow and doubled it over, so it wouldn't slip and it does seem to help the aching at night. Good luck and hope you feel better soon.

leg pain was never one of my sx until...I read this thread! for the last two nights, my legs ache, and feel like toothaches to the bone. Is it that I am now examining myself for this sx? or was it there all along? I really hate this disease. :(

The winter really eggs it on for me. Not just my legs/feet, but neck, shoulders, all over. Dang I feel old.

BGB, my neuro said watch to see if my leg spasms/pain recedes once it gets warmer...he feels the nasty cold winter is causing it.
My question to him was...then why did I get a reduction in spasms and pain through all of January before it ramped up again? Relapse...:( |

For some, it's the cold. For others, it' s the damp. Maybe neither affect you, but both do me - and storms are the worst. I have a party this evening to go to at my SIL's. She asked if I was coming, and I looked at me, and the old dog. Neither of us is limping too bad, so I guess we're on, lol. Personally, I think I have been in a little flare all winter because I have been having sx I normally don't see except in summer - vertigo, bee stings, water on legs, etc. My eyes have been givin me what for. All my normal winter sx have been up and down as I expected - pain, stiffness, fatigue, shocks. I get it coming and going - heat and cold sensitive, but cold is the worse of the two. |
